Scottish tenor Seumas Begg is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and the Sir Alexander Gibson Opera School at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow.
He created the role of Elijah in the world premiere of Navigate the Blood by Gareth Williams and Admiral Fallow and was recently the tenor soloist in the Scottish premiere of Rebecca Dale’s Materna Reqiuem.
Roles for Royal Conservatoire of Scotland include: Lippo Fiorentino Street Scene, Soldier The Kaiser of Atlantis and Monsieur Lacouf Les Mamelles de Tiresias.
He has appeared with a number of other companies including: Garsington Opera, Dutch National Opera, Grange Park Opera, Opera Bohemia, Iford arts and The National Gilbert and Sullivan company.
Also in regular demand on the concert and recital platform in the UK and abroad, most recently including Bruckner Te Deum, Rossini Petite Messe Solenelle and Bach Johannes-Passion (tenor solos).
In his spare time, Seumas is most likely to found up a mountain, taking photographs or enjoying a nice whisky with friends.
